About the artist
Saxophonist Aigars Raumanis is 21 years old, who has been playing saxophone for 11 years. Last year he finished the Jazeps Medins Riga Music Secondary School (in class of Oskars Petrauskis) and now is studying at the Jazpes Vitols Latvian Academy of Music.
He is a prize winner of many competitions in Latvia – 1st place in “Inese Galante Competition” (2015), 1st place in competition “Saxophonia” (2017), 1st place in competition for Concert Band Conductors (2016).
Aigars has performed as member of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the Latvian National Opera orchestra, Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta Riga, Festival Orchestra of Baltic Musical Seasons, Latvian National Armed Forces Orchestra and others. As soloist and member of ensembles and orchestras he has performed in Estonia, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland.
