About the artist
Boris Bikov is 13, from Plovdiv, Republic of Bulgaria, 7th grade student at the National School of Music and Dance “Dobrin Petkov” – Plovdiv, in the piano class of Svetlana Koseva.
He started playing piano at the age of five. From September 2013 he is a student of the “Dobrin Petkov” School of Music – Plovdiv, in Svetlana Koseva’s piano class.
Boris is a prize winner of many international competitions, such as “XIII International Piano Competition Nicolas Rubinstein”, Paris, France (2016); “XIV International Competition for Young Pianists”, Nis, Serbia (2016); “International Golden Competition” (Bulgaria-2017); Fifth International Music Competition (“International Music Competition”); International Competition “Simon Delber-Février”, Nice, France (Bulgaria-2017); XXI International Youth Music Competition “Hopes, Talents, Masters” (Bulgaria-2017) and others.
He was the only Bulgarian participant in the winner’s concert of the “International Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition” in London, Royal Albert Hall on 04.04.2017. and in Vienna, Musikverein on 22.09.2017.
On November 24, 2017, he performed the first movement of the Concerto for piano and orchestra in A minor by Edvard Grieg as a soloist with the State Symphony Orchestra of Shumen, under the baton of maestro Slavov Dimitrov.
