About the artist
Four various personalities combined, fit well together and create a passionate musical organism. Their program includes pieces from the variety of styles – from classical arrangements to jazzi or dance music.
Every member of Color Clarinet Quartet – Oleg Malovichko, Izabela Żurczak, Sara Ślemp, Jarosław Sroka – is a prize winner of national and international solo competitions.
The quartet together has won many prizes at Italian, Slovenian and Polish competitions just in 2017 that included the Concorso Internazionale Di Esecuzione Musicale “Giovani Musicisti” Citta Di Treviso; the Concorso Internazionale Giovani Musicisti Premio “Antonio Salieri” Legnago; the International Music Competition and Festival for Soloists and Chamber Groups Svirel; and the Clarinet Festival in Piotrków Trybunalski.
The quartet has performed in Ukraine and Poland. They are scheduled to give recitals as part of the ClarinetFest 2018 in Belgium.
Clarinet Quartet “Color” consists of four students from the Music Academy in Krakow studying clarinet with Prof. Andrzej Godek and Dr. Barbara Borowicz. The chamber music class is led by Dr. Piotr Lato.
