About the artist
Feri was born in Istanbul, Turkey on February 17, 2007. When she turned 5, she started taking piano lessons with her teacher Ani Sazak Arsu at the Arsu Art Academy. In 2015, Feri also started her violin lessons with Safinaz Olcay. Selected by the State Conservatory of Anadolu University in 2016, she moved to Eskişehir with her family to continue her education as a violinist. During the next three years she participated in master classes led by Prof. Ildiko Moog. She also attended classes at the CAKA Violin Winter Schools in 2017 – 19, where studied with Cihat Aşkın, Şenol Aydın, Beste Tıknaz Modiri, Bahar Büyükgönenç Polat and Gonca Görsev, Sevil Ulucan Weinstein.
Feri played as a soloist with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of Anadolu University in April, 2016. In August 2017, she attended master classes for string instruments in Izmir and studied with Cihat Aşkın, Ani Snarch, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Hakan Şensoy and Oğuzhan Kavruk both in an ensemble and as a soloist. She has had a possibility to attend master classes in Liszt Akademie during the Fesztival Akademia Budapest.
Feri currently is in 7th grade and studies violin with Gülen Ege Serter in Anadolu University School of Music and Drama in Turkey.
