14-year-old flutist from Russia performs Karl Stamitz – Concerto in G Major for Flute and Orchestra, Op. 29: I. Allegro, II. Andante, III. Rondo, allegro.
About the artist
Igor started to study music on a recorder at the age of 5. In 2012, he switched to a flute and continued his music education with Efimenkova Yulia. In May 2018 he entered the 8th grade at the Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music where he studies flute with professor Oleg V. Khudyakov.
Igor is the top prize winner of many national and international competitions. He regularly attends master classes by outstanding flute players, among them – James Galway, Vincent Lucas, Raffaele Trevisani, Nikos Karassavidis, Sibel Pensel, Claire Sausvort, Nicole Esposito, Maria Fedotova, Olga Ivusheikova, Maria Chepurina, Nikolai Mokhov, Nikolai Popov and many others.
On November 10, 2018, Igor featured as a solosit with the orchestra at the Pavel Slobodkin Center. In 2017, as the Grand Prix winner, Igor performed with the St. Petersburg Conservatory Orchestra under the baton of Alexei Vasiliev in the Small Hall of the Philharmonic Society.
