13-year-old violinist from the USA performs F. Kreisler – Tambourin Chinois
About the artist
Katelyn Moon, 13 years old, is 7th grade at the Dwight School in New York and she has been playing the violin from the age of 6. She completed 5 levels of the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program and received First Class Honors for her violin performance in violin study within 2 years.
Katelyn has already performed her solo concerto at Merkin Hall with Camerata Virtuosi New Jersey Orchestra when she was 9. She performed several times at major venues including the Weill Recital Hall, Zankel Hall and Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie as well.
Katelyn is a prizewinner of numerous competitions such as the New York International Music Competition, International Grande Music Competition, International Virtuoso Competition, and more. She has been attending the Meadowmount School of Music in the past summer.
Katelyn currently studies under Dr. Ann Setzer at the Pre-College Division of The Juilliard School, where she is serving as a concertmaster at the orchestra.
