About the artist
Ocimar was born in 1998, in São Paulo and he comes from a musicians family. From the year 2006, he attended the São Paulo State Music School – EMESP with Professor Maria Cristina Braga and later with Professor Liliana Chiriac. Since 2016 he studies at Prayner Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Art in Vienna with Professor Daniel Auner.
With orchestral experience he participated in many projects with teachers from important orchestras as the Vienna Phillharmonic, Gewandandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Berliner Philharmoniker. Ocimar has performed with the São Paulo City Symphony Orchestra, International Orchestra Institute Attergau (Project of the Vienna Philharmonic), Bayreuth Orchestra Academy, Junge Wien Philharmonie, Chamber Orchestra of Bayerische Philharmonie and also in important concert halls; Sala São Paulo, HerkuleSaal (Munich), Wiener Konzerthaus, Berlin Philharmonic and the Musikverein (Vienna). He has also played under the musical direction of the conductors Marin Alsop, Leopold Hager, Arvo Volmer, John Neschiling, Giancarlo Guerreiro, and Neil Thompson.
Master classes with Daniel Rowland (Brodsky Quartet), Lorenz Nasturica (Concertmaster Munich Philharmonic), Sergey Girshenko (Concertmaster Russian State Symphony), Stephan Barrat-Due (Concertmaster Oslo Chamber Orchestra), Rosnei Tuon (Orchester de la Suisse Romande), Rüdiger Liebermann (Berliner Philharmoniker) and Emmanuele Baldini (Concertmaster São Paulo State Symphony) were important for their formation.
Ocimar participated in important festivals at the Winter Festival of Campos do Jordão Festival (Brazil), Voksenäsen Summer Music Academy (Norway), Bayreuther Osterfestival (Germany), Curtis Summerfest (USA), Music Camp Teatro Del Lago (Chile).
