About the artist
Virginia Yosif Spiridonova is from Sozopol, Bulgaria. She was born in September 2010.
She started singing in “Milka Stoeva” children’s choir in Burgas when she was 3 years old. Virginia took her first piano lessons at the age of five and at six she became a fulltime student in the class of the leading piano teacher Yana Raicheva at the National Music School “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”.
In april 2017 Virginia won a bronze medal – the highest prize in her age group in the International Music Competition “ Cles d’Or ”. In May the same year Virginia was awarded First prize in the VIII International Music Competition Belgrade, Serbia and Third prize in the eMuse Online Music Competition Athens, Greece. In June 2017 she became a First degree Laureate and winner of a special prize for her performance of Shubert waltz in the XVII International festival – competition “ Russian and European Music ”. Later the same month Virginia became First prize winner in her age group in the International children festival “ The ship of arts ” Pomorie, Bulgaria. In March 2018 she was awarded Third prize in the National Competition for best performance of bulgarian music composition “ Varban Varbanov ” Burgas, Bulgaria.
Virginia speaks Bulgarian and is fluent in Italian and Russian as well.
