8-year-old violinist Xinmu Tian from China performs N. Paganini – Caprice No. 13
About the artist
Xinmu Tian, the eight-year-old young violin student born in Beijing, China, has been under the instruction of Mr. Conglin Zheng for three years. She studies at the Beijing Furong Primary School. Max Bruch and Niccolò Paganini are her favorite composers. She has learned Paganini Caprice No.13 and the first two movements of Bruch’s Violin Concerto in G minor.
Highlight of her competition awards is Gold Award in the 12th Golden Beijing Youth Violin Festival organized by Central Conservatory of Music in 2019. As a member of a children’s trio, she has spent a lot of time on the rehearsals and community performances.
In addition to violin, she is very interested in composition. Her compositions include several caprices and a violin concerto. She loves reading Paganini’s stories. One of her caprices is titled “Homage to Paganini”. Her talent and imaginative ideas can also be found in her work for dinosaurs “To The Cretaceous Period”.
A versatile girl, she is good at sports, especially riding bicycle and running.
